  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

How to Make Cinnamon Roll French Bread

Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Cut loaf of French bread in half lengthwise and place on baking sheet.

Step3. In a bowl, mix together softened butter with the brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

Step 4. Spread half the butter mixture on one half of the bread and then repeat.

Step 5. Bake in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes until golden brown and edges are crisp.

Step 6. Mix together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.

Step 7. Remove from oven. Allow to cool for a few minutes, drizzle with the glaze, and cut the bread into 1 – 2 inch slices.

Step 8. If the bread is too warm, the glaze will melt but if you allow the bread to cool slightly, the glaze will hold its shape and color. You may want to drizzle the glaze over the bread a few times allowing it to cool slightly in between.

Step 9. Serve and enjoy!
