Why do they call it a parfait?
The French word “parfait” means “perfect.” And the origin of parfaits can be traced back to references in 1894. They’re most often prepared by layering ingredients and are usually served in tall glasses known as a Parfait glass but for this recipe, I’m using tall Mason jelly jars like the ones here.
