  • 1 tsp- 1 Tbs. paramount crystals (optional, but ideal)
  • ½ c. Brown candy melts or chocolate chips

How to Make Franstein Pretzel Rods

Step 1. Reserving about 1/8 cup of your green candy melts, melt the chocolate in the microwave by microwaving in 30 second increments, stirring in between each session. Remove bowl from microwave just before fully melted. Stir until smooth.

Step 2. Add paramount crystals and stir until dissolved. This will thin out the chocolate so that it goes farther.

Step 3. Spoon the melted green candy melts onto the pretzel rods, and place on the parchment paper to set. You can place it in the fridge for about 20-30 minutes to let it set faster.

Step 4. Once set, melt the chocolate, adding the paramount crystals as you did before.

Step 5. Place the melted chocolate into a piping bag. Cut a small hole in the tip of the bag.

Step 6. Pipe dots where the eyes go, and place the eyes on top. You may need to hold the eyes in place for a couple seconds to make sure they stay firm.

Step 7. Pipe the hair on, and the wiggly mouth with the brown chocolate. Melt the remaining green candy melt and add it to a piping bag, and pipe on the stitches.

Note: I originally drew the mouth and stitches in green, but changed the mouth to the brown chocolate, but forgot to take the in process shots with the brown mouth.

Step 8. You can also make some with just sprinkles for fun! 🙂

Equipment You’ll Need:

  • 2 small microwave safe bowls
  • Parchment paper
  • 2 Piping bags
