  • 24 long lollipop sticks

Instructions

Step #1: Heat water in a double boiler over medium low heat. Place top pan or bowl over hot water and add chocolate chips to double boiler to melt. You want to be careful not to get any water into your chocolate.

Step #2: Add 1 tbsp. oil to the chocolate and stir to combine as it melts.

Step #3: While chocolate is melting, stick lollipop sticks into each individual Peep. You want to be careful to keep the stick centered otherwise once the Peep is cooling and the chocolate is drying your Peep will look like you impaled him through the heart.

Step #4: Once chocolate chips have completely melted, hold a Peep on a stick over the chocolate and use a spoon to coat the Peep in chocolate. Once it has been thoroughly covered in chocolate you want to tap off the excess chocolate.

Step #5: Add the cut side of a marshmallow half to the middle of the bunny’s backside and place Peep in a tall mug.

Step #6: Once I had four or five Peeps finished, I placed the mug in the refrigerator to speed the chocolate hardening but this isn’t necessary. You can let them cool and harden on your counter if you like.

Step #7: (optional) After the Peeps had completely cooled and the chocolate was hard, I wrapped them in lollipop bags and tied with a ribbon.

These turned out sooo cute! And they tasted good too! The kids really loved them. I did, too.
