Free Homeschool Lesson Planner

Sorting through our books and supplies for homeschooling.

Now that our company is gone… and school time is coming really fast, I drug out all of my homeschool supplies and books. I need to sort through them and plan my lessons. Looking at the pile… knowing I need to write 180 lessons for 10 subjects for 4 children is a little overwhelming. I try not to think about it.

I made yet another planner form for this years lessons. After 15 years of homeschooling, you’d think I’d have a system I truly loved.

Yeah, that’d be nice.

I’m still looking for it.

Anyway, back to the lesson planner… In years past I have typed out all of my lessons and then printed them. I’m just not in the mood this year.

I decided I’d rather hand write them out on this nice little form I designed and printed out. (I added Jeremiah 29: 11 to the planner – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord.)

Homeschool Weekly Lesson Planner

One tip I learned the hard way, years ago, is to not label my lesson days with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. because invariably, something happens and we don’t do our lessons on the scheduled day. So, instead, I label my daily lesson columns with Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, etc. That way, if we need to have a make up day on Sunday, or we go out of town for a few days and come home on a Thursday and need to catch up on Monday’s lessons… I don’t feel completely defeated. But that’s just me.

You can download my printable lesson planner in three different versions to suit your needs. These planners are in .pdf format. Enjoy!
